Description:
Graphics One (GO) offers the most complete range of inks for large and grand format printing in the industry. Introduced as the first product in our wide range of inks is our best selling eink (Encad) ink sets. Mirroring the family of inks offered by ENCAD, GO provides GA GS/SWOP, UV/Archival and Industrial Pigment. Additionally we offer Industrial Pigment Lite, which provides reduced light fastness at lower cost.
GO works with leading ink research and development engineers to produce ink to our specifications. Our inks are filtered to .20 microns, with pigment particulate sizes less than 100 nanometers. Our color consistency from batch to batch deviates less than .5 Delta E between batches. Additionally, our Hyper-Particulate Saturation (HPS) technology guarantees saturated colors with the right UV screen for long term color stability and UV Durability.
Ideal Applications
GO eInks are perfect for the same applications that are traditionally recommended for ENCAD inks
A Replacement/Application Chart is as Follows
HPS/UV Screen - How do we measure?
In association with our manufacturing partners, GO uses the Blue Wool Scale (BWS) to measure HPS/UV Screen or fade resistance inks. The BWS was originally developed for textiles and has now been adopted by automotive, paint and commercial printing industries. The numbers on the scale are obtained after fading a test sample along with eight standards made from pieces of blue wool of varying fading resistance. A "1" on the BWS offers the least amount of light fastness while an "8" on the BWS offers the most. What does this mean in regards to light fastness? A blue wool of value "8" equals about 12 months of direct sunlight exposure in Florida without color shift.
As you will note on the chart above, the HPS/UV ratings on our eInks is as follows:

Printer Compatible Printers/Inks
GO eInks are usable with Novajet II, III, PRO, 500, 600 and 700 PROe printers.
eInks FAQ's
Q: For which thermal printers does GO provide ink?
A: Currently GO provides ink for the ENCAD range of thermal inkjet printers called GO eInk (e = ENCAD).
Q: What are the applications and types of eInks offered by GO?
- A: 1. GO eInk GA has the widest color gamut of our ink and is used for dazzling displays of color for indoor use.
- 2. GO eInk-SWOP/GS adheres to the specification for the web offset publications and is becoming a standard for proofing.
- 3. GO eInk-Arhival/UV offers light stability and provides bright vivid colors; the durability of this ink provides long term results.
- 4. GO eInk-Industrial Pigment developed specifically for outdoor requirements, this ink provides excellent color characteristics with long lasting light fastness
Q: What makes GO's Industrial Pigment Ink different from other third party providers?
A: GO's industrial Pigment Ink pigments are the same as that used in automobile paint. Our pigments are custom ground for this application, but have virtually the same light fastness as an automobile paint. These are the same family of pigments used by the OEM's.
Some of our competitors use pre-dispersed pigments, which are the same type of pigments used for normal offset printing. The light fastness of these products is limited at best. This is the reason some of our competitors pigment inks are priced less. Our Industrial Pigment Lite was introduced to provide high quality pigment ink with reduced light fastness at a reduced price.
Graphic Standard/ SWOP Inks
GS/SWOP ink complies with the Specification for Web Offset Printing and is quickly becoming the standard for printing on large format inkjets.
Archival/UV Inks
Archival/UV Ink is durable and provides light stability and bright vivid colors.
Pigmented Industrial Inks
Pigmented Industrial Ink is developed specifically for outdoor applications and features long lasting light fastness.
- Fade Resistance of Graphic Standard 1 year indoors
- Fade Resistance of UV/Archival 25 years indoors
- Fade Resistance of Pigment Industrial 100 years indoors; 1 year outdoors with a UV laminate
