The latest addition to the Mutoh Toucan family of industrial printing systems is the Toucan 2.6 meter (102 inch) six-color ink jet printer. The Toucan 2.6 meter provides dependable high volume industrial print speeds up to 900 ft²/hr and true image quality print resolutions up to 720 dots per inch (dpi) for outdoor applications. Toucan industrial printers are well suited to meet a production run of 256, 36 inch x 48 inch posters in an eight-hour shift, printing at 400 ft²/hr.

The Toucan 2.6 solvent-based printer produces CMYKlclm high quality prints that are UV and water-resistant for up to three years in outdoor applications without lamination on a wide variety of inexpensive, uncoated materials. The Toucan 2.6 supports a print width of 101 inches and a billboard mode speed of 900 ft²/hr.

The Toucan 2.6 incorporates an improved media handling system with industry first variable force pressure rollers to accommodate smooth media feeding of various thicknesses and textures of roll media. Adjustable, on-the-fly stepping fine tunes media feed in less time with greater accuracy for improved image quality.
