Graphics One (GO ) Launches New
PhotoProof Ink for Piezo Printers

Burbank, California- March/April 2002- Continuing
its tradition of offering innovative new large format
imaging products, Graphics One (GO) has launched its GO
PhotoProof Ink for piezo printers with innovative new
VivaChrome dyes and pigments. Most notable about this
announcement is that GO’s PhotoProof Pigment Ink has
been especially formulated to work with photo gloss and
other high gloss media for piezo printers, while
maintaining an expansive color gamut and extended light
fastness. Even more compelling is the PhotoProof ink
maintains a glossy sheen on glossy media. Developed
specifically for use with printers using EPSON print
heads, GO’s PhotoProof Inks include three different dye
and pigment sets. The three sets are PhotoProof GA,
PhotoProof UV/Archival and PhotoProof Pigment.
According to Sandra Nishimura, Director of Marketing,
“the development of the PhotoProof inks was prompted by
our customers who were interested in having the highest
quality inks for the graphic arts, proofing,
photographic and fine arts/giclee markets. Our GA
(Graphics Arts) inks are perfect for the proofing and
traditional graphic arts markets where the images must
maintain stability for a period of time. PhotoProof
UV/Archival was developed with photographers and the
print-for-pay market where long term, stable color is
required. The development of our PhotoProof Pigment was
the most difficult since the major requirement was the
ability to image on photo gloss media while maintaining
excellent ink gloss levels, and we have succeeded.”
Nishimura added, “our PhotoProof Pigment was designed to
achieve outstanding archival capabilities with color
stability and color intensity not traditionally found in
other pigment inks for Epson heads. Combined with the
ability to image on photo gloss media, PhotoProof
Pigment will be perfect for indoor and outdoor
applications including fine art / giclee, outdoor
signage and even photography where long term
lightfastness is required.” PhotoProof inks are
available in one liter, one gallon and five gallon
containers are usable with GO’s unique uFill
life-lasting cassettes.
GO’s PhotoProof inks join GO eInks (ENCAD), GO pInks
(Piezo), gInks (Grand Format) and the recently announced
GO xInks for the Xpress / X2 and PP 5000.
