Graphics One Confirms Dye Sublimation Ink License

Dan Barefoot, President of Graphics One has released the following:

“We have stated unequivocally that Graphics One is not, has not and will not knowingly violate the patents of Sawgrass. Since launching dye sublimation products through our distribution channel three years ago, we have worked with only one manufacturing partner for the production of our dye sublimation ink. Our manufacturing partner has reconfirmed they are operating under license with Sawgrass, and have been doing so since they started the production and sale of dye sublimation ink.

Our GO RIO dye sub ink is packaged on our behalf in sealed containers with the proper labels stating the patent number (U.S. Patent No. 5,488,907), the ink lot number with a statement indicating the use of the ink must be on printers having a carriage width of 42-inches or more. Graphics One has a policy of only shipping sealed bottles and encourages our distribution partners to return any bottles which have become unsealed during shipment.”
